Has there ever been a lawsuit over spam and spyware? This shit really pisses me off. I've been getting weight loss emails everyday. I remove them but them keep getting sent. Now I've been researching the company and have called the manager twice and told him if I get one more email from his comapny I'm going to sue. Well I got about 10 more and called him back. He said he has no control over it.

Is there anything you can do to these fuckers?

Talk to your lawyer homey. It would be great to hear about someone taking action against those dicks.

I think they have something going right now to ban spyware.
It just pisses me off these people selling my .edu addy.
Sure most of them offer a remove feature, but you can't get removed from the actual list. I don't know how anyone got that addy. I never use it for anything.

you want legislation on the internet? once they 'took care' of spam, what are they going to go after next? are they going to start prosecuting people for owning a website with material some politician finds objectionable? would they then continue to go on a moral crusade to take down websites that discuss drug use, sex, anti-big-government websites, etc. etc. etc. because they are working in the best interest of children?

talk about going down a slippery slope.

why dont you do something about it yourself, instead of running to the government for help? why not try using filters, hitting the 'unsubscribe' option on message, or just taking the 2 seconds to fucking delete them?

Get PopUpStopper. You can download it of Kaaza if you dont have the money to pay. It removes over 99% of all pop-ups from NON_TRUSTED sites. I havent been bugged about platinum membership on this board since! Its a fantastic program, buy it its not to bad of a price.

I have pop-up-stopper and spysweaper. they still find a way to get in. I use my hush account for entering emails when i have to. I'm just sick of the emails with no remove feature and companies who don't honor your removal.

The one with MAKE YOUR DICK BIGGER are great when you check your email at the university or with your girl sitting right there. There is already something going in legislature right now on banning span, but it will take forever.

I like supernav's idea about the [AD] that way it would be easy to filter them out.

I read in PC Mag awhile ago that some companies use the remove feature against you. when you click on remove you have just confirmed that your email address is valid. Try McAfees junk mail program. It's pretty good. Can't remember what it's called. Outlook also had a builty in junk mail/adult mail feature. It's not great but the more you tweak it, the better it gets.

I've used popupstopper before and it was worthless. There are software's that work excellently though.

Can't stop spam and spyware which royally blows. My hotmail account gets about 20 junk emails a day and i always end up with spyware. Best thing to use is Ad-Aware from http://www.lavasoftusa.com/ for the spyware.
