I have never gone over 1.25cc in the calves, and only gone in with prop/enenth,tren and eq. Any localized size increase can be attributed to swelling. If you go very slow, and massage after, the pain SHOULD be minimal. Everyone is different though.
I would recommend it, as I have only had success with it, however there are more risks associated with calves then the glutes or quads. Venous return is not as strong, so there is increased risk of forming a blood clot from a damaged vein.
