Sweet N Low is NASTY SHIT..............if you like cancer, go for it.

SPLENDA.............it's basically real sugar that's been "adjusted" so you don't absorb it, or have it affect blood sugar. You can't get any better than the REAL compound.

Well, actually, you're wrong. There is no sacarine in SweetN Low, so cancer isn't a definite conclusion. As for Splenda, it isn't much better. It's made by chlorinating sugar atoms which can very easily lead to chlorine poisoning (and has...no one has been diagonsed with cancer directly from sugar substitutes.....)......your best bet is stevia, hands down.

i bought some splenda recently, haven't tried it yet b/c i also bought a few packs of sugar-free koolaid and crystal light. however, i just discovered that both of these products contain aspartame, d'oh! i will try it out for a week or so maybe. are there any products like sugar-free koolaid or crystal light that don't contain aspartame?

asparmate is def. in my daily eating regimine....no ill effects thus far.....except for this slight twitch and sometimes, if I stand to close to the microwave, I shit myself and forget who I am for a 1/2 hour......

lol, that's funny. last night i put too much of one of the koolaid packets into a shake and i got a little buzz from it, akin to a sugar rush. wtf is up with that?

Actually, You are wrong. In the United States, the ingredients of Sweet'N Low Brand granulated sugar substitute are nutritive dextrose, 3.6% saccharin (36 mg per packet), cream of tartar and calcium silicate (an anti-caking agent).

Thanks bro, I was going to respond to "Jkurz" , but it seems as if everytime I do, he cuts me down for my response or needs 12000 other people to back up my statement in order to have it be credible. (In regards to the other threads in which I've responded to his inquiries)

My simple solution is to ignore his questions from now on, waste of time as everytime I offer my information he has something 180 degrees in the opposite direction to say, or needs to ask someone else.

All that and he's wrong taboot!

LOL......ok, my fault....I can admit it when wrong and I thought there wasn't any......however, my post on splenda is on point........why cant we just get along SC?

forget your fighting and just answer my question... ;) "are there any products like sugar-free koolaid or crystal light that don't contain aspartame?"

We were just having fun............I made an honest mistake.....AND, I dont know which drinks do not have asparmate.....I know for certain there are some sugar-free drinks out there sweetned with splenda...ever heard of botanical ice or Fruit 2)? Sams Club carries it in Ohio..........

If you can find them, you can buy bottled Crystal Light that is sweetened with either sucralose or splenda (I can't remember which). Sams and Costco have them. Other than that, your only options are Diet RC Cola/Diet Rite.

Also, for future reference you can find a small list of foods that are sweetened with Splenda on their website. They used to have other things listed back in the day.

Actually--the chlorine in splenda is not the same shit you put in your pool!! It is not harmful and CANNOT lead to chlorine poisoning. This is the same chlorine that is used in table salt, etc, etc. Aspertame is much worse for you and has many side effects-not to mention a metallic after taste...

I am just talking about taste....Splenda or Neosweet, which is a sweetner used by The Protein Factory....I have never tried Neosweet but I like Splenda...just want to see what people preferred--looks like Splenda...

I don't know who you are, precious, but don't f-ing quote me and say I'm wrong unless your facts are straight...........nothing pisses me off more......
Sucralose is made by chlorinating sugar (sucrose).

The chemical structure of sugar is changed by substituting three chlorine atoms for three hydroxyl groups. The knowledge of how sucralose is made becomes an alarming factor for many people, as chloride is an extremely poisonous agent. According to Mosby¹s Medical, Nursing and Allied Health Dictionary, chlorine is “a yellowish-green, gaseous element of the halogen group. Its atomic number is 17; its atomic weight is 35.453. It has a strong, distinctive odor, is irritating to the respiratory tract, and is poisonous if ingested or inhaled… Chlorine compounds in general use include many solvents, cleaning fluids and chloroform. Most of the solvents and cleaning fluids containing chlorine are toxic when inhaled or ingested.”

Well now you know who I am....your master.

And I will quote whoever I want when I want.....I see a few posts ago in this thread you totally posted incorrect info, so don't come here babbling shit like you know. Gee, notice all those people dieing from Splenda poisioning?? NO-because it is not harmful for you to injest. You comparing Splenda to cleaning fluids is so f'ing idiotic I can not believe you even posted that! What you just copied from whatever website you went to has NOTHING to do with Splenda!!! It is the SAME chlorine used in table salt---not too many table salt related deaths from chlorine poisioning are there?.....before you post shit here instead of doing a google search--learn it--then come back-precious-and share with us what you have learned. And learn how to reply to people....when someone disagrees with what you have said---don't reply in the hopes of started a flame war, because much like in life, you'll lose....

All I want to know is who liked what in their protein shake---taste wise--don't need to know which is going to kill you first...I am sure every sweetner (maybe except stevia but that tastes like ass) has some type of side effect-that is life....

spoken like a true mature adult...........you got a lot to learn about this game kid......and I dont have the time...........

Read your last post for that. Oops did I quote you again.... :worried:

I am not a kid, and have been in "the game" a lot longer than you think....don't think by the Feb 2004 on my profile that I am new..I have been on and off here since 97'.....

Thank you for admitting I know more than you and really am greater in all ways....again..thanks....this thread can now end.....

Jackoffkurz, Don't ever give me red karma again bitch just because I owned you in more ways than your husband ever will.....

Acutally, I just want to make sure everyone is well aware that there is, in fact, studies that show splenda contains chlorine and can do just as much damage as asparmate, although no studies (long term) have been conducted on EITHER.......so ave - I leave it at that.....why dont you go start a thread asking everyone what there favorite letter is............thats some good use of your successful time and extremely benefitial..........

Post ALL exact sources--so we all can see-don't just copy and paste. What it seems you are consistant of at EF is giving shit info! Nice to see you did a search on my name ---stalker---never mind what I do in my spare time at the chat and that thread was actually a goof about another member who I am friends with--playa to playa pimp to pimp, I would own you in everything fitness related...Do you realize I got 4 emails in the last 30 min telling me how much shit you post on a daily basis and how you try to start flame shit with many people....you need to step back and learn first bro, then come back and post some info...need to be a student before you can teach. I am not saying Splenda is the healthest thing but to come out and say you can get poisioning from it is BS. Unless you get medical studies (which you are correct there are not many long term) it is worthless, much info on the google searches (many are holistic bs) are shit-mostly opinions instead of fact or docs who are nut jobs and think you should eat a certain way when they don't....So thanks for posting that Splenda has chlorine (the same in table salt)--which the company that makes Splenda does not hide--you do realize that if you drink a glass of tap water that too has chlorine in it (much more than splenda)--at this point chlorine poisioning should be out of control--it isn't because it is bs much like you info...good luck with the name searches-stalker... :worried:

Come on guys, red karma is suppose to be for intentionally spreading false information, not for bickering.

As far as this study goes, just let us know where you found it/read it. Don't be like those vegetarian guys that ran around here a few weeks back ;)

To be perfectly honest, it was sent to me by a gym bro and I have no idea where exactly it was from. He sent it because he knew I used splenda riligously (and still do) and always yelled at him for sweetnlow.....anyways, the studies are all over the place....here is one
http://creativehealth.netfirms.com/chlorine_sucralose.shtml

Vegan? HARDLY! My point was, there really isnt ANY safe alternatives anymore....either get fat and rot your teeth or get cancer and/or contamine yourself with chlorine.........lol.......will I stop using splenda? No.....will I cut back from 10-15packs to 3-5, I hope.........

I just wanted to say before this thread hopeful dies, that the main contributor to this piece is Dr. Joseph Mercola (a chiropractor) who is one of the biggest frauds out there. If you go to any "quackwatch site", you will see his name there. Some of what he has to say is interesting but mainly bs to sell his books about diet (The No-Grain Diet) and his stress relieving skills he teaches are laughable. I know when you see it written on the net it is hard to think it isn't true because it is right there in front of you--but this guys has been sued many times for printing false info....I am sure I can get 5 different websites that say Splenda will not harm you and 5 different websites that says it does. The fact is I am sure a lot of the stuff on the market now has some nasty side effect that will not even be discovered for many years to come - basically after the damage has already been done. So for right now, Splenda tastes good and that is all that matters and there is not some big warning label on it like there is on asparteme-so if I get poisoned from it and live-then I know not to take it again...... :)

Table sugar may be the way to go...........organic? Just in minute amounts.........actually, I've never tried it, but have heard stevia is as close to the real thing as you can get, and the cleanest too.......
