What you have to look at is the first and the last letter, and how many letters there are.

somebody either typed "i" accidentally instead of "e", or he thought that "Phenomenal" is spelled "Phenominal".

I'm sorry, I just cant think of another word, and, apparently neither can you, so untill somebody is gonna post a word that is composed of these letters: P a o m n n e h i L
given that the first letter is "P", the last one is "L", AND it will fit perfectly in that sentence, I just can't accept your arguement.
