dude all i have to say is my friends have bikes.....gsxr600, r6, and an f4,,,, those things would flat out smoke me 0-60 but from 100mph and up wards my car was faster..... my car wasn't stock (i ran a 13.1 quarter) but still those bikes didn't impress me much up top....

MY SPEEDOMETER STOPS AT 140. THE 10MPH INCREMENTS ON IT ARE ABOUT HALF AN INCH APART. MY LITTLE ODOMETER NEEDLE IS OVER AN INCH AWAY FROM THE 140 MARK. I BURY THE NEEDLE AT THAT. IF IT HAD MARKERS ON IT, IT WOULD BE AT 160-165. I'M GUESSING I'M DOING 150 WHEN MY NEEDLE IS BURIED AT THAT POINT BECAUSE NO SPEEDOMETER IS PERFECT UNLESS ITS DIGITAL. AND EVEN THEN ITS NOT PERFECT.
AND YES, I HAD WORK ON MY CAR. LOTS OF WORK ON THE CAR. I USED TO RACE THEM. I TOOK OUT THE LOW GEAR RATIO IN THE REAR AND PUT A HIGHWAY RATIO IN IT CUZ OF MY TRIP TO SCHOOL 3 TIMES A WEEK HENCE THE HIGH TOP END.

KAYNE I did not know Hyundai Elantra's could run that fast. Must have a straight four in there. Did that tape player come stock with hubs, that has to be the EX package, nice plastic wood grain.

the smaller bikes are much better IMO....they are quicker downlow they handle sick and they are easier to drive.

I find it difficult to believe that an s3 can do 13.1 for the quarter. What mods did you do to it. They would have to be substantial to get down to 13.1.
A stock STi would struggle to do that.

yeah actually the s4 was very easy to tune...the stock set up gave you 2 kkk03 turbos that combined only put out 9 psi of boost. you can run them up to 1.2 bar or about 18psi (9 each).....a lot of guys where blowing their turbos at that rate. i got rid of both my S4's i has a silver and then a nogaro blue....they were fun but i'm saving up for something even better!

90 horses is not going to shave 1.5 seconds off the quarter.....no way. I saw that hoppensport link and nothing in the mods you mentioned convinces me that it will do 13.1. It's a damn quick car, don't get me wrong, but 13.1 doesn't wash.

So then does Pappa Smurf's car put out 330-340hp? I just can't believe that a car that puts out 330-340hp can do 13.1 let alone get into the 12's for the quarter, irrespective of the torque.
The Hoppen sport link you gave me has an RS4 which pumps out 510 hp and does 0-60 in 4 sec. which is probably in the mid-high 12's for the quarter.

Either way, they're great cars.

i know what you are saying bro, but trust me 1/4 mile times are not always an indication of a cars ability to fly! the trap speed is usually a good measure of hp! the higher the speed the more hp the car usally has. Gearing is a big part of 1/4 mile times. there are so many other factors in 1/4 mile racing other than hp and torque....believe me there are mustangs with 500hp that run the same time as me and not because they guys are bad drivers

on a side note....one of the guys from audiworld lives in So Cal and at a track there a guy with a chipped 996TT (automatic...lol) races anybody for money! he consistently runs high 11s depending on the start. i'm telling you guy with 10 second cars go there to race him for money and beleive me more times that not if the money is on the line you just always seem to have a bad run. the guy makes several grand a night! his only requirement is that you your car has street legal cats on it
