It was Heroin and she was amazingly beautiful, much better than jolie IMO.
Tragic life, at the end her mother said that when they moved her from her bed and the skin fell of her back. Aids is a biatch. She had the force of thanatos strongly in her soul.

I don't remember her myself, I was too young to read Vogue in '77 & '78, etc..... but she seemed more of a "real" person in all the biographies I've read about her..... Her mother was very upset about the movie where Jolie played her -- said Gia was NOT the person Jolie played her as....her mother said that they didn't have the help for heroin addicts they do now, and "women didn't get AIDS" then so the help wasn't there either......
