soy milk

tlhc

New member
i've recently purchased some soy milk without looking on the ingredients
well, today i did, and it said that cane sugar was added

it has 2,9g carbs/100ml,(2,7g sugar) is this bad?
i mean is cane sugar worse than lactose (which is also a sugar right?) in terms of raising the insulin level?

thx in advance

Considering soy is (1) hard on your thryoid and (2) estrogenic--I don't know why you'd want it over regular milk. If you're lactose intolerant, I'd go for lactaid.

Keiko is right. The only benefit to soy milk is if you're lactose intolerant. And I've tried it, it tastes pretty good too. But nutritionally, it's no better or might even be a little worse for you than the real thing.

I don't know a great deal about lactose because I don't have the intolerance problem. But I've got to believe that anything with added sugar will go further to raise insulin levels.
