Technically it's 18.75" of seat space. I mean seriously, how big are some of you guys? Shoulders more than 18.75" across.

Bunch of steroid addicts around here.

Just measured my shoulders, 18" and I am not a big guy. 30" shoulders seem a bit big though. That is almost two seats. I wouldn't want to sit by you man, I don't think anybody would. Having Fat rolling onto you from the next seat is disgusting, but having huge slabs of muscles on some 6'5 guy with 30 inch shoulders flexing all over my seat would probably piss me off.
Unless you gave me your peanuts, then I would be happy.

This is a stupid policy that is going to cost them a lot of money in litigation, and potentially credibility. They are a profitable airline - why risk it? This will not increase revenue and has the chance to decrease it. Stupid.

My main problem with very overweight people is that the taxpayer usually picks up the tab for their extremely high health care costs.

They should tax Snickers Bars the same way they tax cigarettes.

Here are some of the naafa "tips" for airline travel...

ARMREST UP - When you get to your seat during pre-boarding, raise the armrest between seats. This may give you the inch or two of extra space you need. The chances are that the passenger who will be seated next to you won't say anything; if he does, smile pleasantly and say that you'll both be more comfortable if the armrest is up.

This one pisses me off. They are instructing these fatasses to be rude and take advantage of most people's generosity. Both of you won't be more comfortable with the arm rest up, only the fattie as they spill into your seat.

PREBOARDING

Also note that they are telling them to take advantage of the preboarding procedures as well. Persons who have special needs?? Yes they do, they needs to get their fat asses to the gym and work out, do some cardio, something! Those kinds of needs will help them out of the other "needs"
