Sources for Dextrose

I know that normally dextrose comes with your assorted protein shakes. But i've looked everywhere for just plain dextrose, or dextrose based drinks? where can i find these darn things?

any drug/health store should carry it. search for it by 'glucose'.

You can order it online, but shipping costs a lot of money ($17 total for dextrose and shipping). Check out a wine making supply store if you have any near you. They use dextrose as a sweetener and I bet you can get it cheap there. If all else fails, pop some Smarties post workout!

I get 4-5 lbs for 3-4 dollars here in Canada.
