Sore joints

glucosamine and deca

I take 1 Celebrex (200mg) daily for arthritis & that helps me quite a bit. Don't know if that would help you but it's an option.

i've already said this in a couple of other threads but i swear by omega-3 fatty acids. I first found out about it in an article in Muscle & Fitness:

"Probably the top dietary supplement for joints is fish oil, due to the richness in omega-3 fatty acids. By dampening inflammation, fish oil helps injuries heal faster and reduces pain... Most forms now sold are about 30% omega-3 fatty acids, which inclide EPA (eicosapentaenoic acid)... Along with protecting against heart strokes, EPA's anti-inflammatory effects appear to reduce muscle loss in farm animals, so it may be a double-duty bodybuilding and preventitive medicine supplement"

I found a "Super EPA" omega-3 faty acid supplement that has worked wonders. It's rom now foods, I'm sure you've seen their stuff in supplement stores: http://www.nowfoods.com/?action=itemdetail&item_id=3054.

You want the highest possible concentration of EPA in your omega-3 fatty acids.

Supplement wise I have tried everything and the only thing that worked the best for me was "Lee Labradas Elasti-Joint"!!

Try it and I guarantee it will help you out but it being a supplement dont expect wonders in a week or anything but more like 1-2 months afterwards!!

Other than that you can always go the way with anabolics!!

I like flaxx seed oils as mine has 53g omega3 per 100g. This monday I worked on my chest a little too much I guess and after that my triceps, both heavy. My elbows almost killed me later that day as the pain was horrible. I bumped the flax up fromn 30g per day to 50g and on the wednsday the pain was gone. This is not what has happened before as I have had sore joints quite a few times before.

My tip would be these:

If you have joints that easily goes uts and starts aching after a session, then do not work triceps after chesst and the elbow stress will be very high.

Use c-vitamine 2-3g per day, bnut not too muuch as you will loose water and from that you might get mopre pain or injure yourself.

Use omega3, fishoil or whatever that will give you the o3.

If joints are very bad and the pain wont go away, then take some time off as you need the rest. Your body is beaten and need to rest for a while.

When doing chest, shoulders and tricepsmovements always start with 3 light sets for triceps. I go with pressdowns 3 sets with a lot of clothes on.

Good luck

Good stuff MrRTTB, nice to see people out there that rely on something other than Deca for joint pains. High dosages of Flax Oil lubes the joints and knocks the pains out. Also make sure you are drinking enough water, 1-2gallons daily. I was also working out a body part everyday and started to have shoulder/elbow pain. Changing my workout really helped. One other thing, I modified the way I was sleeping and shoulder pains are gone. Glucosamine also helps, it is not Deca but it helps but if all else fails, than add it. Personally, I never noticed joint releif with Deca but it may be dose related... I take low dosages.

I have had a sore left shoulder and tried glucosamine and chondrioitin, which seemed to help. I also tried active release, which worked for some people I know. The chiropractor was great, but I think the therapy actually made the injury worse. Now I just ice my shoulder periodically and have incorporated rotar cuff excercises into my workouts. Keep in mind that often times injuries are mental. While on the drive to the gym on chest and shoulder day it would ache the most. My shoulder is currently feeling great and I am able to progress to higher weights on previously affected movements.
