Something I found out at work today...

some of my co-workers SO email addresses are blocked by our network admin. This place is tigth as hell and big brother is always watching you. All of our phone call are monitored even personal calls. Good news is a I have a job interview next week.
Anybody else work at a company with these kinds of policies?

I've always used cell phones to make phone calls. I rember the old days when people got yelld at for making long distance calls. Those days are bygone now thanks to a plethora of cell phones in most companies.

I used to work at a place where internet usage was allowed or not (techinically against company policy tho) depending on who you were. Some were allowed to surf the net all day others not.....

I used to work in such a compamy

The first few days I just didn't go to the internet apart ehrn it was job related

A few days later I was spending 30 minutes per day on the web

A few days later I was spending at least 1 hour on the internet doing anything but work

I'm sure they knew it but never said anything

I email my g/f all day, then again i am in and out of the office all day though too............If people weren't emailing they would just be off in the corner somewhere talking and wasting time..who cares
