I've had both an 883 and 1200 sportster along with a FXSTB and I have never understood why someone would look down on sportsters. To be honest, I didn't care for the 1200 I had, but I loved the 883. It was a blast to ride. The only problem was it had the peanut gas tank on it. The 1200 just didn't seem to handle as good. My next bike will be a Road King.
