Ok, i had given up on protein/whey shakes. I had tried a few different kinds and all of them bloat me incredibly, give me horrible gas, and eventually a day of shits. Well reading around i figured i'd give them one more shot and picked up some isopure (i believe thats the name). Two days went by with me taking one scoop in the morning and one scoop post work out. I figured i found one that would work for me. Day three and four back to all the bad sides of previous powders. WTF? i'm taking ginger root with them which was recommended and some digestive enzynes with meals. Why does it seem like after a couple-few days this shit starts bothering me? It is almost like it buildings up in my system after a couple days and isn't absorbing/breaking down. I don't know what to do about it, i just know it sucks having to eat the extra food to make up for quick protein i can get from a shake.

Also, i tried to just deal with it the for a few weeks with the first brand i had, but it never got any better, just worse.

I dont know bro, I get bad gas and very minor stomach shifts from all the protein and food I'm eatting hour to hour and the shits come with protein shakes at high doses but iso pure one scoop is not a very high dose. You sure your not lactose?

Try just mixing the shake with water you should prolly bedoing the PWO anyhow as milk slows digestion.

I bet that helps a little and it's not as heavy it would be like drinking flavored water, maybe add twice as much water or more than reccomended to dilute it a bit, it may take longer to drink and you'll have to piss sooner but it might help your indigestion.

Have you folks ever tried a totally unflavored whey isolate? If the protein is guaranteed as being lactose free then it's something else. The artificial sweeteners or colorants or something could be causing problems.

Ever read the labels on your protein powder? The shit they put into those flavored shakes! (even vanilla) They're gaggingly sweet, to boot (Muscle milk, UUUGGGGH)

I use a protein powder by All the Whey that's an unflavored isolate. Put it in water it tastes like powdered skim milk.

i only use water and drink a shit ton with it to dilute.

i also went with vanilla this time thinking less crap in it. i will try to get some that has no flavor at all. my stomach is very aggravating

I think i'm going to give goat whey a shot. it is suppose to be completely lactose free and absorb better into the system. we'll see???????

They have customizable proteins at trueprotein.com. They come unflavored, but you can add any flavor and/or sweetener. You can also add enzymes to aid in digestion. you can also customize your mix. You want egg protein? Egg white protein? Whey isolate ion-exchange cold filtered? Whey concentrate? Casein? etc.? You can mix them all in one customized mix if you want to. Keep it unflavored, or add flavor, add any sweetener you like (stevia, sucralose, aspartame, acesulfame k). Oh, and highest quality stuff at the best prices around. Order 16 lbs or more and you get 5% off. Save another 5% by using a code (WIN821).

Also, try taking a good probiotic for your stomach/intestinal issues.
