These types of things are usually bad news.

Also, this could be viewed as a source post. Here is what I recommend: email several mods that you have seen that you feel you can trust (Mustang is pretty good, even though he's a shifty Canadian). And ask them to help you, guide you, whatever.

Stuff like this needs to be 'back channel' and not out in the open.
