i'm totally fuckin screwed for going because that's the last weekend before my grandmother's house goes to settlement and i need to be there doing the final clearing out.

if you know anyone who is going, give them the auction. i'm already going to lose $15 if these sell on ebay, but i'm going to lose $115 if they don't go at all.

i'm going to cry if i can't sell these. really, i am. i hate pissing money away.

Bro - my sis has an ebay business that does a lot of transactions and she has found if you start the auction as low as you are willing to part with the item for (like say $20 in this case) a majority of the time you get more for it in the long run than if you start it at a high number/high reserve...

We were talking about it and think it is cause the high reserve scares a lot of people off right away...

also because on a lower priced item, once they have been bidding for a while they have become "invovled" and invested time in the process and want to make sure to WIN the item... basically the lower priced item generates more excitement and thus higher prices...

I have noticed this pattern as well with similar items up for auction over time...it is more risky but do what you need to do if this one doesn't work....

well, i put a starting bid in at $99 because it said i had to put one in there. i put the buy it now at $100. there's really not much time for bidding on this item, as it's only 2 weekends away and the tix need to get mailed to the winner.

not that i'm knocking your suggestions, they're good suggestions definetly. i have a feeling i'll end up revising it within 2 days and bringing the price down if they don't go. i hope they go for $100, i really do.
