Somebody science-minded translate this for me?

What would this mean in practical terms for bodybuilders?

The other non-flavonoid components found in XXXXX such as limonin and obacunone, a triterpene-derived product, also reduced microsomal testosterone 6b-hydroxylation in human liver (18).

I'm not sure why microsomal testosterone is relevant but if ya ask me, it simply means that those two non-flavonoids found in XXXXXX REDUCED the abundance of that molecule (microsomal testosterone 6b-hydroxylation). Call me crazy, but a reduction in any test is not good news.

That's my analysis, as poor as it is. It could be cause the rest of the article might help in figuring out what this is relevant to.

This was taken from a study that looked at the effects a compound's activity of P450/CYP3A4 inhibition; it only mentioned this item in passing...

Thanks for the stab...

6-beta hydroxylation is a step in the metabolic breakdown of androgens. It is primarily of importance in the breakdown of androgens where the so called A ring is resistant to reduction. Dbol, Eq, and halotestin are in this group.
