mightymouse69 said:I call this my Blue on Black Jam...its an instrumental version of the Kenny Wayne tune.
Not totally mixed down to where it will be someday (I did it in last night), let me know what you think. Thanks bro.
p.s. turn up your speakers.

pdaddy said:Nice jam bro, you always know how to throw in that chill aspect. Do you play boh guitar parts then just mix them together with the drum line? I would suggest turning down the rhythm guitar down a bit from the lead/solo guitar, it was tending to drown it out a few times. Keep it up bro, you're growing
Smurfy said:Blue on Black is an AMAZING tune. WHy the F dont I have speakers!!!!????

Smurfy said:oh damn. I wish I had this CD this guy I know produced himself with a buddy in his basement. Anywho, he plays guitar too. It was all instrumental metal. I liked it a lot but I couldnt tolerate him. I think I may have thrown the damn CD away.
Smurfy said:a week ago? new equipment? i like it. please send me all links as they come to fruition. Im a fan.
pdaddy said:lol, and so the groupies begin...
pdaddy said:I like that one bro, you can tell that the rhythm guitar levels are lower than the solo lead guitar, sounds much better. Is that just a regular distortion box or a fuzz box, I can't really tell. So when are you going to start throwing in some lyrics?
a creed said:Nice fingerwork bro - (sounds like a Strat lead) - what do you have for pickups on that strat?
That song sounds AMAZING using the SRV sig pickups, or the fender laced-sensor ones (that's what i just got to add to a strat I'm building.
NICE FUKIN WORK
mightymouse69 said:Hey, thanks for the props, I just started recording. Good ear my friend, I am using a Fat Strat (steel poled and Fender double-humbuckers at the bridge). Are you building your strat from scratch? Would love to hear more about it and your playing.
Thanks.
a creed said:I have a fender body - (still deciding if I want custom inlays on the neck)
I took the pickguard off and drilled new holes in the body, installed fender Lace Sensor pickups right into the holes in the body, and rewired them through to a small area where I will install a custom switch.
I've only been playing for about 6 years, but I used to practice for hours on end, so I'm alright.
I've got a Gibson SG/Takamini Black Acoustic (those are my main guys), but the SG came with 2 P90 pickups, but I took the lead on out and put in a "hotter" P90 type pickup - the thing SCREAMS.....................
You ever play "out" anywhere?
It's not like I live far bro..................
mightymouse69 said:That sounds like a great project, I just learned how to do some changes and installed a new guard on my Telecaster, a little cosmetic change makes a huge difference. I'll post them up later.
I love SGs, and P90s YUP!!! I came from a rock background, played lots of old metal (Tony Iommi) years ago, then went to more soft rock in college (CSNY tribute band), basically now that I am older with less time I play around in blues jams and play Friday nights at Jamspot in Cambridge/Sommerville. Some nights are great, others much less...we had to deal with some bubble gum music stars.
Pdaddy, we need to get you out to Boston to meet up with myself and ACreed!
