Some slow digesting carbs

I'm on a loss weight diet and according to my doctor I need increase slow digesting carbs of my diet, can you help me out on which carbs are the most suitable to eat when your need to shape off weight, and which ones are the slow digesting carbs? thanks.
 
You want to choose low glycemic index carbohydrates to include in your diet. Low gi carbs are digested slowly by the body and slowly raise blood sugar levels in the body.

High gi carbs in comparison are digested rapidly and cause an insulin spike. This is not wanted because it promotes fat storage.

The best low gi carb sources are brown rice, oatmeal and sweet potatoes.
