You need to find ways to calm the soul. B/c of these meds you are on, you can try juicing (I mean the fruit and veggie way). This really helps detox the liver in turn gives you strength to fight the anxiety.

i've eliminated everything. `cept soda & pharmaceuticals. even going light on the caffeine. this is kinda scary, though, because i am only taking 25mgs of it now, and over the next 3 weeks, am supposed to gradually increase it to 100mg per day.

Lamotrigine has not been shown to be effective when people experience the actual episodes of depression or mania, so other medications must be used to help people recover from these episodes. Lamotrigine is in a class of medications called anticonvulsants. It works by decreasing abnormal excitement in the brain.

there's also an important WARNING about rashes that can be caused after 2-8 weeks of tx with lamictal.

I don't know all the "dynamics" of meds, but I know that if you can try to get some detox going on, the side effects from these meds can be lessened.

well, that's part of the problem with meds. if you wash them out, they'll do you no good. i have people that are dypsic here and that drink or actually gulp down a quart of water in a few seconds. they actually have to weigh these guys after leaving the house or being unsupervised.

Juicing or detoxing will not wash out the meds if done once you have absorbed the meds. Meds are absorbed into the blood through the intestine. Once the effects get into your blood, the toxins from the meds are cleaned by the liver. These are the toxins you want to get rid of.
Just a thought...not sure this would be the best solution, but for sure trying to get some of the toxins from the meds out of your system may give you less anxiety.

i've been asked to switch meds again. Depakote, now. from what i've read, it's more potent than the shit i was taking, the stuff that gave me tremors, loss of memory, serious muscle spasms, constant twitching and much more. my BP was 160/105 for about a week straight until i dropped it outright. i've lost count on how many med switches i've had this year.
