CNN and FOX were good at covering the Hurricane but I didn't understand why the reporters had to stand in the rain for hours to make their point. An hour or two would have been sufficient then they could have gone undercover to portect theselves from getting wet. Why suffer?

I think they didn't want to take anymore risks and overestimated Rita because of Katrina.

yes i am glad the people evacuated. i am telling you here in jax people had to evacuate several times for a false alarm. now i have a feeling if a bad huricanne does actually hit here people will be like the little boy who cried wolf and not leave and be in real big trouble. it takes a disaster for people to wake up and see the dangers of procrastinating.
