So many variations

I've heard so many different things from people and I know you have to find out what works for you best, BUT I'm having such conflicting thoughts about it, I"m driving myself mad! As of now I'm doing 5 sets for 2 of the 3 exercises I do like say for bench I do incline dumbell and flat bench, I do 5 sets each of 5 to 7 reps with a weight I can ONLY DO 5 TO 7 REPS FOR. But I don't feel as though that's working any longer. I want to switch up but I'm not sure what to do. I'm burning off extra fat right now and leaning up for summer, but I want to keep some nice size on myself. I'm 6'2", 218 right now and body fat is around 15%. Anyone have any ideas? Also someone I talked with told me they do 4 different exercises for shoulders, and the total of sets comes out to 16 total. Does that sound like a bit much or a bit under a good routine? I know you have to hit a lot of areas on the shoulders but it just seemed like a lot to me. Anyway, I'm looking to lean out like I said BUT want to keep my mass on. I train 5 days a week and right now it's Chest Bi's, Shoulders Tris, Off, Legs, Back Forearms, Off Off........cardio is 4 days in b/t when I train sometimes on off days. Any new routines or killer routines would be a big help and also, would more reps be better like say 3 to 4 sets of 10 to 15 or lower reps and heavier weights.......Just sorta confused on what to do right now guys. :worried:

a) it seems like you are going to drive yourself even more mad by asking us - you will get a lot of different opinions

b) I think most of us understand and have all been there. Sometimes it seems like we all overthink things and end up taking a step back (I know I have been guilty of this).

c) check out the Training sticky at the top of the page and read up on some of those routines. sometimes simplicity is the key. I would suggest maybe looking at the 5x5 - pretty simple routine. although it may be a little difficult to add on weight to the bar while cutting.
