Flipping through the channel guide for something to watch before Dr. Who premieres at 8:00 PM. Low and behold I notice that a show entitled, "Kindred: The Embraced" is on Sci Fi @ 7:00 PM EST. I never knew this show even aired, it did last a mere eight episodes. That is all...

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Kindred_the_embraced

Kindred: The Embraced was a 1996 Fox television series/vampire soap opera, produced by Aaron Spelling. Comprising eight episodes, it was loosely based on the role-playing game Vampire: The Masquerade. The whole series was released on a two-DVD Region 1 set on August 17, 2004. Starting on July 6, 2007, the SCI FI will begin airing reruns of the show Fridays at 7PM Eastern.

The main plot arc involves a San Francisco police detective, Frank Kohanek (played by C. Thomas Howell), who becomes increasingly deeply embroiled in the Masquerade when investigating a "mobster", Julian Luna (played by Mark Frankel), who is actually the Ventrue Prince of the Kindred within the city.

Damn bro you seem cool.

We could hang out watching shows like that. Then, go out and have fun interacting with teh ladies.

Then, we could watch the Military Channel as we discussed our success with the ladies the previous night.

Unfortunately, I've seen most of the Military Channel programming. I've been watching The Science Channel more lately. :)

Wimminz can't resist my mad documentary skillz....chicks dig guys with skillz.

But both main characters leave after the second season. :(

:cow:
Apparently, Christopher Eccleston only ever planned to do one season, fear of typecasting? Billie Piper also chose to leave for undisclosed reasons.

I'm pretty whipped tonight physically; decent workout tonight. I'll probably watch some MST3K, play some of The Darkness on PS3 if I'm up to it and go bed early. Going out tomorrow, and these days once a week is good enough for me.

HR, this is a geek thread. If you want them to care, make your question sound like a line from a Star trek episode.....like

"Captain, the receptors are negative, does anyone care that my internal food processor is malfunctioning?"

Lexa Doig, from "Andromeda" and married to Michael Shanks(Dr. Jackson from SG-1) in 2003.

"Doig enjoys reading, rollerblading, and playing RPG computer games and Dungeons & Dragons."

hold on, I need to go get my geeko dictonary ;-)

I never got into "Serenity" during it's original production but it grew on me in syndication.
The producer, Joss Whedon actually wrote the intro song....
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0UPJdGbSp-4

Probably my favorite song for a series, every word is very deliberate....I can identify with "Mal." :)

Ballad of Serenity
lyrics and music by Joss Whedon
sung by Sonny Rhodes

take my love
take my land
take me where I cannot stand
I don't care
I'm still free
you can't take the sky from me

take me out
to the black tell 'em I ain't coming back
burn the land
and boil the sea
you can't take the sky from me

have no place
I can be
since I found Serenity
but you can't take the sky from me

You have a friendly Dungeon Master....just sayin'.
Ok, rod of 5 minute steel +4. LOL
Naw, but I did have a crazy dm when I was about 15, he made up all the adventures, pretty much everything. I was a chaotic evil cambion thief. We'd end up fighting 100 paladins, it was pretty fun, especially when your stoned.
