What was really weird was that within seconds of the power coming on birds all over the place were chirping like crazy. It was just like in the movie the birds but without the pecking people to death part.
I lost it at around 5 pm thursday, before the peak was even hitting us. Then we got it back at about 10 PM, supposedly when the peak was just hitting us.
Stayed on the rest of the time with the occasional flicker or brown out.

I must be the only one (besides my immediate neighbors) I know that came through this without a scratch. Out of my coworkers and you guys on the boards, all I've heard is about how they lived without power and/or had flooding.
But karma knows who owes, it got back at me with a $600 repair job on my truck.
