When deadlifting does it make much of a difference in lift form and poundage difference when wearing a cross trainer sneaker or wrestling sneakers?

Please dont quote me on this.

when a persons feet can feel the floor the central nervous system contracts all muscles involved in the movement a lot harder and quicker and your response time is better.

Im gonna have to look it up but it has a name and a better description.

Just as an example I have a hill near my house...and no shit it is eaiser to walk up with no shoes......

Would anyone have an idea of how much of a difference 1 inch makes? Poundages wise? I have some cross trainers and can pull 485...so With wrestling shoes ? 500?

no i dont think that much of a difference.

I noticed that i am quicker out of the bottom of the lift and thats about it.
Give it a try. buy some chuck talyors or train bare foot.

I have developed a bad habit of training barefoot.....i feel more comfortable, but i use chuck taylors (well one stars) for heavy squating movements.

I dont think it is much of an issue.

still if i were you i would buy some shitty cavas thin soled shoes and see how they go.

Sounds pretty good. Could help me with cleans too. Maybe even planting my feet on bench. You never know but than again i might be getting too optimistic.

Answering a question from Sebass about 1 inch difference. I think it makes a little difference. Shit some people pull off plates and swear they pull more when there back pon the floor. I know in th erack a inch or two diffently make a difference. In my rack i can pull 50lbs more form the second pin which is right below my knee, then the first pin which is 2 inches lower. Go figure. I havent done the 3rd pin yet.
