As promised.

I'm still a little burnt from training in the last two weeks. Recovered probably only 80-90% or so. Should test my vertical to see, forgot haha. Speed was definately sapped, I felt that at 40k

Technique was breaking down today. Was having trouble keeping everything locked.

Finished this workout with push press + front squats up to 95kg 4x2+2, dumbbell step ups 60lbs each hand 5x5, and pullups.

OK, so the little bit of swing is ok? I had thought I had to let my arms go loose while the bar travelled up, then re-straighten/catch at the bottom. To me, it looks like you just shrug hard and let the bar travel up/flip over at the top while catching.

still looks much better than mine though!

Thanks for the vids!

The little bit of swing is NOT okay, yes, I do swing it from the hip, it's always been my problem. It's just a matter of keeping the arms locked and staying over the bar longer... having patience through the weakest range of motion (harder than it sounds!).

When the pull is finished it's okay to bend your arms and pull under, although I've seen a guy do it so quickly that it looks like his arms are straight all the way through (snatches 160@85).

I pull straight 'till about chest/head level, then the bar turns over. Having problems loosing speed at that same level. I get good speed & momentum until I try to relax to drop under, seems like the bar just plummets.

you can't relax and go under passively, you have to drive under extremely aggressively.

snatches from the hip will fix that

awesome video man! I have the exact same shoes as you :D

Consider yourself a lucky person to live close to a olympic trainer or training facility. It's my goal in the next 5 years to learn the olympic lifts, properly.

How much did it cost you for training?
