I don't go in unless I can't beat the sinus infection on my own. It's been a week, so I go in at 1p.m. today.

You want to really beat the sinus infection? If I suggest something, will u listen?

Yes. I feel defeated. Beaten by a cold or sinus infection. I always knock this crap out in 2 or 3 days. I couldn't even do aerobics last night for fear of catching pneumonia.

ok listen up.....you're going to go to the pharmacy and buy a sinus irrigation kit. You're also going to go buy a small bottle of oil of oregano (only a health food store or on line store will have this) In the liquid they give you with the kit, add some salt and the oil of oregano (half a dropper). Shoot it into your nose (follow the kits instructions). It's going to burn your nose but it passes. Then use the rest of the liquid and gargle. Also take garlic either in pill form or real garlic.
Biteme, this works. I used to get horrible sinus infections and since irrigating I have not got one.
You can also drop 2-5 drops of the oil of oregano under your tongue and drink water right away. This boosts the immune system.
try it....You'll be happy you did!

With the garlic and oregano, it's gonna make him smell like he just douched his sinuses with spaghetti sauce.
yep, he will smell for a while but the benefits outweigh the stink :-)

try it hunny and you won't be calling me a nut, you'll be kissing my feet ;-)

Well that will be a nice change from you kissing stillettos feet.

I agre with the Witch Doctor about the nasal irrigation. It works wonders. Ive never done it myself but my husband has. In fact we have one installed on the wall behind our kitchen sink LOL not my first choice but hey, life is about compromise. but yeah, all ENT doctors will recommend the nasal irrigation as a preventative and therapeutic measure.

i cant vouch for the frogs tail, garlic , or the oil that she has recommended but anything is better than just doing nothing.

you add the oil b/c it's an antibacterial. It zaps the staph like a bolt od lightening. The frog, well that would just get stuck up there.

Well surprisingly I don't have a sinus infection. Just severe allergy symptoms. She gave me some nasal spray and said to take Benadryl. I'm gonna try that nasal irrigation.

It says to use 1 packet of this stuff for a isotonic solution and 3 packets for a hypertonic solution.... Which do I use?

bump.... It's called a sinus irrigation kit? A six ounce bottle filled with water and a saline solution and you squirt it up your nostril until it comes out the other nostril???? Did I get the right kit? Do I use 1 packet or 3 packets?

Even hours after nasal douching, when I bend over, water pours out of my nose?

YES, sounds like you got the right kit. I would use i packet, but would irrigate 2 x a day. Also, add your own salt and the oil or oregano. Biteme, the oil is they key to killing the infection.
