clubbing was one of the main issues yes. my "priorities" were messed up she said. how can she say that when she doesn't even know me? one of the priorities she told me to get straight my friend isn't even in the process of doing. but rather is putting up money to visit her. but I should get my mother fucking priorities straight. real fucking nice.

no he didn't stop talking to me. her suggesting it is pretty fucked up. some girl from canada is saying this? someone online chick i introduced him to a year ago is telling him how to run his life and mine for that matter.

I don't care how many smalls backers we got here. I said she's a bitch and as of now i'm sticking to it. if you wanna back her for sticking her nose in me and my friend's business then telling him to just stop talking to me then fuck you too.

To be 100% honest you can tell a lot from how a person is online but you can't tell completely. And I don't even talk to her regularly and for her to tell me how I am and how I should live is absurd.

i have some disagreements with her on this issue which is all based on pretty much opinions and she tells me and my friend how to live our lives. telling me to do shit with my life while being a hypocrite herself. hypocrite meaning that when it comes to my life my priorities are messed up, but when its someone else and it comes to wasting money on flying to canada instead of school then that's just fine. and i have nothing against that at all. i fully backed it and we all live our lives the way we want. but i don't appreciate being told to get a new hobby and to concentrate on school when the person we are talking about isn't even in school and is in fact working two jobs during the summer just to get by but is wasting it going to canada. and yet my priorities are messed up and i should do better in school.

what hobbies do you suggest i take up? clubbing isn't for everyone and that's fine with me. but a lot of ppl in this area do it a lot so i see no problem with it. what do you do smalls that is so fucking honorable? photography?

First of all, I am trying to do nothing but calm both you people down. I don't appreciate so many of my personal details of MY LIFE being brought out here on this board but fuck it..so much is.

Mag:

1. I'm not "getting by" on two jobs. I'm making PLENTY of money and helping my family pay bills (approx. $400 a month) while saving to get my sorry ass back in school. Since we're mentioning my financial situation on the board, I'll say this--Stop being high and mighty that you're still in school. The only reason your in school is because your parents pay your tuition, your car, and your insurance. No one ever gave me a car, paid for my college, or paid for my insurance so let's just not touch that topic. Sure i've made financial mistakes in the past but who hasn't.

2. I'm working a full time job now with a newly aquired management position that entitles me to a relatively large pay increase. I'll be able to afford to buy a new car, have money for college and books, and have some money leftover to visit a friend. If it was you, i'd do the same. I had a good time with al in MA/NH so I'm treating myself to visiting her again. I don't like clubbing so instead I'm doing this. For god's sake man, i work killer hours, i think I deserve it, thank you very much!!!

3. It isn't very nice to talk about people when they can't defend themselves. Next time, take a minute to breath..let the anger subside and then act. This is a bit much.

4. I'm partially responsible for this and I'd never let anything like this come between a good friend of mine for over 8 years so relax. I only hope you feel the same.

Just in case anyone's wondering, Mag is a good man. He's the real deal. He practices the EF lifestyle, he parties hard, and works hard. Dont' give him shit or you'll have to deal with me.

Smalls:

1. It really wasn't any of your business to cast judgement on Mag's life nor was it your place to tell him anything. I am just as bad if not more that him. We all have our faults and I have the most. Let's just leave it at that.

2. Although your intentions are in teh right place, it's not your place to tell me who I should and shouldn't be allowed to hang out with. I know you're protecting me because you care and the feelngs are mutual but you'd have to meet Mag to really see who he truly is. A lot of what you two said was misconstrued and it led to this huge drama which isn't necessary at all.

3. I tried to mediate what happened and I guess Mag took it the wrong way. I made a situation worse. I'm definitely to blame for this post but I didn't mean it to come out this way.

4. You two dont' like each other--that's evident. I would like to think that you two are very important in my lives and I care about you both immensly. I hate seeing stress being dealt out by either of you so please either try to get along or avoid each other entirely.

Everyone realize that Smalls isn't a drama queen at all. She hates it in fact. She's constantly insulted, belittled, and forever the butt of many jokes. She takes it with her chin up and although it sometimes phases her, she goes on and remains strong. For this, I admire her to no end and after meeting her, realize she's even more impressive in person. It's funny but, ironically, everything I admire in Smalls are shared characteristics I admire in Mag.

You're both great people and I'm sorry if I had any part in creating friction between you two. I hope we can all move on from this as adults and I can keep both of you as friends even if you two dont' want to be. I value both your friendships more than anything. I hope this helps...

I'm not passing judgement on either smalls or Mag. That's what i want out of both of them. I say live and let live. Why do you say that about X, I have never tried it, but do belive it is bad for you, yet I have friends that drop 5 tabs a week easy, they can defend it to high heaven, do you have any known info(not a link) that it is a detrimental drug? peace

i saw an awesome documentary on HBO about E. and also from personal experience that shit is no good. The after effects are not worth the short term euphoria. eventually synthetic shit like E will catch up with you. E's been around for like 12 years right? I worked on project in college that was funded by the NSF to do research and then a cd explaining various neuroscience processes behind mental disorders, the drugs that go to help them, as well as recreational drugs and their effects.
I didn't do the research part, I did the programming and 3D graphics for the project. I did work with the researchers though and one of them was a major stoner and did all kinds of other shit prior to that. he was freaked when he researched X.

he explained it to me, and I have read about similar things in the past myself.
the shortest explanation would be that it floods the sodium channels of the dendrite, stressing the structure and bursting it.
initially this was thought to be especially bad because there was a belief that the neurons don't change - once dead they are gone.
but new studies have shown that the blown dendrites reform, but no longer connect where they used to.
the effect of this is it fucks up the neural net - the connections that it is trained to use are no longer there and when it sends signals to them, it gets an output elsewhere.

just as a point of reference - two conditions that are a result of missmapped signals, no matter what is causing it, are memory loss (like trying to recall the name of something or someone - it triggers the chain reaction, but along the way gets rerouted to the wrong thing), the other being schizophrenia (which is usually more along the case of one neuron activating with too much energy and overflowing to surrounding neurons, causing over activation and thereby triggering things that shouldn't be triggered - hence the hallucinations if the events are in that part of the brain).

okay... I guess that isn't that short an answer - I can go into more detail if you want to know more about how it works.

for the most part - and you see this with many people that use drugs - they hear that it is bad, use it, and see that they feel good and there is no immediate negative effect (they are still living, feel no pain from it, and all their limbs work just dandy).
but over time, the cumulative effect that is happening without any signs, will eventually lead to something that has a definite end sign.

from what I have read, the long term x user usually just ends up a little foggy - which happens to all of us - but not usually in one's 20s but instead post 60s.

I would love to trade shoes with you. I also had a friend die.. autopsy showed no reasons for his death. This kid was healty as can be. X was the only drug he used.. no roids no asprin. When they cut his head open to check for tumors they found that there was a hole that looked like a fucking cavity in a tooth right in the center of his brain. It does not take a 22 year old drug addict-chemist-beatbox-glitter-ravescene-junkie to figure it out.


My advice is to stay away from it.

As an occasional dabbler, I'm not saying don't use it - it's fun as shit. But to answer your question, one of the many "bad" things X does to you is raise your body temp about 4-6 degrees. That ain't good, and I don't think anyone can defend that.

I agree on the advice. I haven't had any friends die from it, and I know very little about autopsies (sp?) so I don't know what is normal and what isn't.
but I do know that the X causes a massive release of seratonin into the system. seratonin is the neurotransmitter that is responsible for mood - specifically good mood and a bit on the sexual side as well.
that would be the only time I have ever heard of a rush of seratonin causing someone to kill someone else.

I agree that it is something to stay away from, and I'm not questioning that your friends have died - but I would question that the X was the reason your friend killed someone (maybe it wasn't X, lots of maybes).
also not aware of holes in the brain and such.

all in all, I'm for better education of people as to how and why it works. I don't care so much for horror stories about the stuff, the shock value won't work because people will take it and see that the horrible thing didn't happen to them and then take a logical leap (a bad one) that they are then not getting hurt from it and will continue on that trend.

in the doses that Shulgin (the dude that invented it) used and envisioned, the drug is supposed to be used for therapy - it takes away some of the restraints and fears and allows people to open up and feel loved and communicate.
so perhaps at really high doses it makes people open up too much and it allows the negative actions to come out.

don't know.

if you are gonna do drugs, at least read up on how and why they work from a legit source and not just hear that so and so died with a hole in their head, or that so and so did it and said it felt great and he is fine.

I never heard of any bad trips on psilo.. only mescaline and L

G raises dopamine levels. another neurotransmitter that is nearly solely responsible for the euphoria and pleasure that one experiences.
the feeling of an orgasm is related to dopamine levels.

dopamine levels and the sensitivity to them are largely what dictates addiction.

I didn't read threw the whole thread but its very very fucked up what smalls said. I think she can defend herself because look how she got into people's business all the way in jersey when she's in canada.

i didn't read the responses on x but i don't think any of the people i am arguing with or involved in this arguement are innocent of using pills. but then turn around and tell me to do otherwise
