I had to chime in on the insulin talk. First thing is that contrary to what is typically said about insulin, it is not some bogey monster that will kill you for sure. Insulin won't kill you, but stupidity will. The two most important things for your safety are to 1)be exact in your measurement and dosing 2) recognize the signs of shock and get some damn carbs in you. Anyone with a pulse should be able to manage these two biggies.
Second point I think is worth considering is how useful insulin will be for you as an individual. If you tend to put on weight easily and get fat if you don't watch your diet, you probably don't need to pump in some extra insulin. It seems to be far more worthwhile for the hardgainers, though this has just been my observation in the gym. I've seen many guys get straight FAT "bulking" with insulin. It just makes me laugh because too many time these guys are just following BB trends and ignoring the individual results they are experiencing.
Finally, I think its critical that guys realize how individual dosing with insulin is. I'm not trying to call out the previous posts which had numbers like 20 IUs post workout or even as high as 100. I used to run 22 IUs post workout myself (I actually prefer to shoot mine 25min before I'm done lifting). The thing is, I recently tried a low dosage running 8-10 IUs with my workout and 8IUs four hours later. The results for me have been better, flat out. My point is not to say "take 8-10 IU's" , but rather to say carefully locate your individual optimal dosage. People need to realize that its not my 10 IUs or Lawnsavers 20 that you should note. Just note the amount of time and effort we put into obtaining the correct dosage.
In closing, insulin + 100 carbs + 50 whey + 20 L-glut + 10 Creatine = Nice & Legal. Best of Luck.
