Slight pain in Chest....

I've been "off" for 3 months now. My cycle was EXTREMELY light,

I started getting this strain in the left side of my chest, directly over my heart about a month ago. Its not extemely painful, just a dull, annoying strain/pain.

The strain also spreads to my left trap sometimes.

I've done searches on this and have learned that it could be a strained muscle, but I haven't worked my chest in 2 weeks and the pain is still there.

I'm going to see a doc next week, I was just wondering if anyone knows what this could possibly be. I have been under a lot of stress and anxiety, but today, I'm sitting here watching football and relaxing and the pain is back.

I am willing to bet it ain't your heart. I had the same thing and I went to the doc to get all kinds of tests done and nothing was wrong. I had a huge problem with anxiety but since my anxiety has stopped, so has the pain.

definately get it checked out, could be a lung problem too, like walking pneumonia or something similar, better safe than sorry.

UPDATE---

The doc said that I had Costrochondritis,a condition in which musculoskeletal chest pain is caused by inflammation at the junction of the rib and cartilage, usually on the left side of the chest above the heart. Probably caused by stress in my case. the pain has since gone away, but I had it for a month or two.

glad to know that it wasn't serious, some of you with a slight chest pain may have this as well.

agreed
i did the samething after a jump
i hurt my chest because my chest strap was to tight
i gave it sometime and it went away
returned to the gym and was fresh for the slaughter
