Sleeping Problem

Finished a test/eq cycle of 10 weeks at the beginning of September. Since that time I have suffered terrible insomnia (I fall asleep fine, sleep str8 for 3 hours and then am up the rest of the night. I have some major stress in my life and have since just before the cycle ended. Is it the cycle, the stress, a combination? Any suggestions?
 
Taking 300mg of 5htp about an hour before bed helps me sleep a bit. Its no miracle drug but it helps.
 
I would say that it is most likly the stress, 5htp is great before bedtime. Also kava kava works well for me in dealing with stress. St. John's wort is also good but can hinder the erection process, just what someone post cycle doesn't need. Good luck.
 
5 htp = 5-Hydroxytryptophan (5-HTP) is an amino acid that is the intermediate step between tryptophan and the important brain chemical serotonin. Check this link for some general info www.5htp.com most good health food stores should have it.
 
Try taking some melatonin or better yet get some Simply Sleep. I work nights and can't sleep on the weekends with my wife. I used it to get my sleeping pattern down for the weekends. It's not addictive (wasnt for me). Within 1 hr you will feel real tired and sleep at least 7 hours. Get the wal mart brand....much cheaper. Take 2 when you are ready to fall asleep.
