The more I read the more I'm finding out that sleep is absolutey CRUTIAL...maybe more so than AAS, diet and training......and I mean GOOD SLEEP.....question to you is, I sometimes have a hard time staying asleep...I might sleep for an hour, wake up and piss....sleep for 2 hours, wake up and get some water.....sleep for an hour, etc......my wakes are no more than 5 minutes, but I was just curious if this is hampering m gains?

Yes, it's hampering your sleep. You need a full uninterrupted 8 hours as this is when your body's natural GH levels rise and healing takes place.

It's best that once you go to sleep, you stay asleep...

I know it's hampering my sleep....lol....that's what I said.......but is it truly hampering my GAINS? I'm assumming you are going to say yes, but I just can't stay asleep....tired it all.....pills, mary jane (makes it 20x worse), etc.......anyone else have this problem? I mean, when I lay down, I'm out cold....but for no more than a few hours at a time...still get 7 hours, but it's interrupeted..........

apo sertraline,I take this shit when Im having issues sleeping, its mainly for nerves but relaxed you enough where you wont get up half as much as you do now,and I can usually tell if that nights sleep will be shit so I take it before hand

YES, once again.......IT IS HAMPERING YOUR GAINS!!!

You should look in to using clonidine. It's used to control hypertension, but it also has the added effect of help you sleep and it also has been shown to raise endegenous GH levels during sleep.

You take .3MG of Clonidine before bedtime and you won't be getting up for anything.

Your doc?

It's really quite inexpensive, so if you don't have insurance, you can easily afford it.

Just ask your doc for Clonidine .3MG tabs(Catapresan).

Hope this helps.

If your Dr will not prescribe anything try out some melatonin sublinguals. They do the job. They don't make you sleep... but.. once you fall asleep you are out and wake up refreshed!

Some exercise physiologists recomend waking at least once in the middle of a typical 8 hour sleep.

Normal sleep is a series of cycles from very light, to deep, back to light. I'm almost certain I remember that the bulk of GH output from sleep occurs within the first cycle - probably within 45 minutes of falling asleep (assuming "normal" restful sleep.) By waking in the middle of the night, briefly, and going back to sleep you may experience a secondary GH spike leading to an overall GH output greater than that of an uninterupted 8 hour sleep.

At the top of my game, I make a point of waking in the middle of the night and downing a scoop of protein powder - then going right back to sleep.

(I'll try to dig up some data if I have some free time and can remember.)

Bro how do you drink 2 gallons of water all day and then not have to piss at night? I usually can make it from about 11pm til 4 am without waking up but then the bladder is calling.

the sleep cycle is 1.5 hrs... 45min is when you are in the deepest sleep... thus when taking naps and such its best to do in 90minute intervals... or wake within the first 15 minutes (power nap as we call it)

I never realized how important sleep is until I read this thread. Having a 3 month old baby makes it next to impossible for me to get uninterupted rest.

What about sleeping for more hours you guys think that would help if it's interuppted often?
