anyone been out this year? what are you riding?

I finally got out today,I have a Polaris Indy 600 with the fox edge suspension. not anything fabulous but a hell of a good time.
Spent most of the day hopping drifts in the hay fields and now I feel old and sore.

and Im very jealous of that, but there are tons of canadians and people from michigan and minnesota also known as canada light. someone in here must sled.

Id still rather live in texas, just wish your state actually paid firefighters a decent wage and would give me a green card.

A snowmobile you dickless wonder.

Couple of my michigan buds are part of some group called slednecks or some shit. They ride a lot.

I have always wanted to

Yeah we got the Sled necks up here too.

Sent from my Galaxy Nexus using EliteFitness

No sled this year I want to buy the polaris 800 RMK hopefully by next winter

i had one of these, the long track i think it was a 144"
gas and oil slurping pig but a fun machine to cruise.
and oak i've had a xc 600 pretty much the same machine as the indy.
piped it sounded like a beast...also had the fox suspension, so much better than the stock.
since i moved west i haven't ridden, if i ever get back east i will definetly by a new machine, i've liked the rev platform the last few years, i'd get a mxz 600 and mod it up.

the fox suspension is a night and day difference, my father in law has the same sled but with the gen 2 suspension, I was a cripple after three hours on it.

if you ever move back ill come to MI and we will ride, you guys have tons of trails.

I like the mix of weather I get,Im two minutes from the lake and 30 seconds from the sled trails in the winter,I love it

Hell yes it is. I have a place on the lake so I'm usually fishing or hunting when I'm not working.

Duck hunting is a big deal here, probably as big as deer hunting.

I've been purposely avoiding this thread cause I sold my Summit 800 when my daughter was born. :bawling:

Isn't it just an excuse to drink? A buddy of mine is really into it and tells me all they do is go from one bar to the next. I believe he goes up to the U.P. he told me its literally impossible to get lost because every trail leads to a bar. His sled tops out at around 100mph. Holy fuck I would kill myself

Holy shit we use to bar hop on sleds. Is he from the AK?:FRlol:

I took my girls skiing today, one loved it, one is still learning and the other one hated it. I am tired and beat up now. First time I have gone skiing since I blew up my knee and had surgery.

maybe in MI they play that way and im sure some guys here do that, but I am not into the drinking and driving stuff.

it's hard not to drink a few beers.
it's cold as fuk, the bars are always inviting, and you need to warm up.
i tried not to get blasted, but sometimes it happened.
and yea you can and will get lost in the UP if not paying attention, trails going every fuking which way.
not like you will be eating your partners ass due to being fuct lost, but you could definetly run out of gas.
and sled speedos are notorious liars, it sells sleds to have the speedo read past 100...my 800 buried past 100mph was gunned at 87 on a lake (still fast as fuk though)
