Skippy Natural Peanut Butter?

New member
I apologize if this has been posted before, but this is probably the best tasting natural peanut butter out there. I've been eating Smucker's ANPB for quite some time, but I was wondering what you guys think of this Skippy brand as an alternative.

Smucker's Natural ingredients: Peanuts, Salt
2 tbsp serving:
210 calories
Total Fat: 16g
Sat Fat: 2.5g
Total Carbohydrate: 6g
Fiber: 2g
Sugar: 1g
Protein: 8g
-----

Skippy Natural ingredients:Roasted peanuts, sugar, palm oil, salt.
2 tbsp serving:
180calories
Total Fat: 16g
Sat Fat: 3.5g
Total Carbohydrate: 6g
Fiber: 2g
Sugar: 3g
Protein: 7g
------

Skippy has 30 less calories, 2g more sugar and 1g less protein.

The question is would there be any 'significant' reason why Skippy should be avoided when bulk/cutting?

FYI: Currently I am in the process of bulking to ~180 lb then start my cut.

It's better taste wise IMO because of the added Sugar..

It has more "Saturated" fat due to the palm oil, so that's a negative.

But if that's not an issue 4 U , yea its much better. Better than trans fatty PB..

I wouldn't call either of those ANPB personally, especially the Skippy stuff. It's not bad for you or anything but there is nothing natural about processed sugar.

The stuff I eat is President's Choice and the ingredients says 100% freshly roasted peanuts. No sugar, no salt, no oil, no preservatives.

Since you are bulking, I'd go with whatever tastes the best and you can get down.

I loves me some damn Peanut Butter. PB smeared on a Banana is awesome.

One of my kids favorite evening snacks is PB smeared on some apple slices
due to the lower simple carb content compared to other sweet snacks.

Back in the fat ass days, I loved PB and marshmallow fluff sandwiches

lol My kid is a true smart ass, so if she knew enough about glycemic index' she'd have been all over that comment.

Just Busting your chops chedder dick..

She also likes that Smart Food bagged chedder cheese popcorn..

I tried to have her drink some of my ON whey Rocky Road flavor but
she wouldn't have anything to do with that. Even with its overpowering
marshmallow aroma.

If you can get it, try Crazy Richards.
Tastes pretty good and is all natural.
Only ingredient is peanuts.

I used to love Smart Food when I was a kid - the only thing that turned me off of it was the fact that it said "Smart Food" right on the bag. I was convinced it meant it was healthy, which meant it had be crap from a kid's perspective. I was like whoa, hold on a minute here. Nobody tells me about my intellectual capacity but me...and maybe the government.

That & Trader Joe's ANPB's are the best tasting out there IMO.....

What I don't like about the Skippy is the added sugar & palm oil....just not needed to ingest.....

Making your own peanut butter is fairly easy if you have a food processor
some roasted P-nuts(salted or not) and a bit of peanut/safflower oil
