I knew before the episode.Like 2 years ago i used a map program to look up all Springfields and Shelbyvilles. There were like 3 states that have both, but they were right near each other in Kentucky. So i was going around telling everyone that they live in Kentucky but no one belived me.
Then I taped the "Behind the Laughter" and was watching it with my dad and he was like "Did you just hear that" then i knew for sure.
Congrads again for catching that, my dad is the only other person i know who has.

Its not that hard to figure out if you saw that episode. I can't explain why springfield is a port city. But they are from Springfield, Kentucky. That much I am certain about.

Its not like anything on that show makes sense anyways. lol

Funnier yet is how they don't have southern accents.
