In exactly eleven minutes, I'm going to walk out of this library into the sunshine, making a conscious effort to appreciate the fresh air that I can breathe of so freely. I'm going to drive my happy ass home to my apartment that I cleaned last night in a maniacal frenzy. I'm going to plop my happy ass down in the ac and crack one of my few remaining cheap-ass tall boys, catch a little news, perhaps, and then go to sleep. Oh yes.

Some things don't change much. I was like that in college.

I tell you, in my early forties, married with kids, and an established career, this remains one of the things I look forward to most days.

Just add the kids crowding around giving hugs and making a bunch of noise, bringing the beer to you and the wife asking how your day was.

Nice to see I got some replies. I did just as planned- stepped outside and breathed in the smell of freshly mown grass, walked across campus and drove home. Drank a few beers and crashed out at 4:30 pm. Didn't wake up until 6:15 this morning. I feel a hell of a lot better than I did yesterday.

I would suppose one could put a harness on a weasel since they're not too different from ferrets. I have an array of sassy-colored harnesses for my critters (but they hate them).
