Is it possible to get the same common cold virus again? Say if i was sick first, got someone else sick, could i get sick from them?

Very possible. A virus is not like chicken pox, and there are so many variations its unliekly you have the same exact virus from before. Your immune system was just weak form the previous virus and most liekly caught yourself a new bug. Hope you feel better.

you can never catch the same strain of a virus twice, your body willl have built an immunity to that strain. You could get sick from that person again if the virus they had mutated as your body is only immune to previosly had strains. This is the reason why new flu vaccinations have to be made every few months as new strains are created and found
