Ok, I got stumped today (not the first time...)...........a dude at the gym who's always asking me ?'s relatng to diet and training asked me about beng shut down post cyc. I had no answer, as I'm really not to certain on this issue. He said about 6 months ago, myabe a little longer....he did a mild cycle of sus 250 (500mg a week for 8 weeks) and 200mg of deca for 10 weeks with NO PCT! Well, I cringed and he went on to say his balls ache somedays after he eats....he "ejaculation is minimal"......and he many times has a tingly sensation with his boyz. So, what do I do? He asked.....umm...this late in the game, is there anything? He's shut down hard, huh? Any help would be greatly appreciated..........

Did he loose all the gains? Gyno post cycle? Ae they small like peanuts? Have blood work done? Needs HCG and clomid. I don't think he is still shut down, but prob did not recover the way he could have.

Tell him to get blood work for test levels. If that looks good, go to a urologist it's probably not related to the cycle.

He said his test levels were ok ..............now I'm confused......should he start some clomid now? He was thinking about hitting another test/eq cycle, would this be detremental? Thnx for the help.......

Poor planning. He should have done PCT. He should be figurring out what his problem is and how to fix it not when to start next cycle. Some people take a while to recover off deca. He should do some research!

This is a typical occurrence. Heavy cycle, 8-10 weeks with no PCT. He may need to do one or even two recovery cycles before he will be recovered. Estrogen levels, prolactin levels should be checked. He needs to do proper recovery now. He should not use any further AAS until he recovers. If he fails to recover, then he has committed himself to lifelong HRT and he will need an endocrinologist.

I don't understand why someone would need to bother with recovery if their "test levels are back to normal". If he is having pain in his nuts and ejaculation isn't normal. It could be prostatitis or God only knows what else. Time to see a urologist.

agreed..........my guess is they ARENT normal, and/or he has yet to have them tested........prosantitis was my initial guess........I just don't think clomid, this late in the game, will have any effect..........you?

Oh, I thought you said in post #4 that he said the levels were okay.

Yeah, you can definitely do a recovery cycle even this late. Like DrJMW said he needs to get tested to find out WHAT if anything needs to be recovered.

Why are there people still out there that do not do proper PCT??

Just because you feel fine after the last inj, doesnt mean you are.

C'mon bros, lets be smarter than this.

because other aspects of their hormonal cascade might still be out of whack

JA youd be amazed at how many people just dont know

they hear about roids through hand me down information though old school roid dickheads at the gym who are flat out reading a newspaper let alone learn about the effects of their meds and how to manage them

hell most of them dont even cycle...they just stay on

yup...I'd say 90% of the dudes I know (acquiantances) either don't bother with PCT, or arent even sure what the hell it is.....comes with being ignorant and thinking that "juice will solve all problems..." sad, sad......

Anyways, I'm personally a little confused I guess....I've done 4 maybe 5 cycles and correct PCT every time, but I never feel any different (except mood, of course).....is there a TRUE way to tell you are back to normal?

JKurz--blood testing is a sound way to know if you are recovered. Take baseline (clean) blood testing of HPTA hormones first (testos levels, LH, FSH, prolactin)--before you start your AAS cycle. Then check again after six to eight weeks of recovery cycling. If levels are normal at the end and/or match your baseline levels, you are recovered. This is the scientific and responsible way to check recovery.

there will always be those people who will inject first and research last.... tragic.
