shoulders??

do u guys go heavy on shoulders??? i'm doing shoulders tonight .also how many excersies do u do and which ones .. i am 38yrs old and started lifting 6 months ago my body is really taking shape but only when i flex ??.. i'm 5'11 205 pounds i want to bulk up and i went from 194 to 205. i know i have not been eating enough but what about shakes.?? i don't have the time to eat all day. also when do i cut?? i have some flabbness around my gut but that's from bulking. any help would be great.
 
yes, I do go heavy with my shoulders as long as I can lift the weights properly. I do about 4-5 exercises.
-dumbbell shoulder press
-lying rear delt raise
-standing lateral raise
-barbell front raise
-dumbbell shrugs
Since you're bulking, you already know that you have to up your caloric intake. You have to make time for yourself to eat. Eat a meal every 2-2.5 hrs, 8 meals a day.
You need protein after your workout 40-60g of whey protein. It's up to you when you want to decide to cut. I always cut during summer!
Summer here in Canada only last 4 months :biggrin:
 
post workout is when your muscles are craving nutrients. Your body has no prob digesting that much esp when you're in need of them. id also add 40g dex and 40g malt in your shakes. here's my shoulder routine

standing bb military presses
bb shrugs
arnold press superset overhead shrugs
side raises superset with front raises
db lat raises superset with reverse db fly's

seems like a lot but i fly right thru it. subing military presses this week for power clean and press tom.
 
heavy push press, bench, dips and rows performed properly is your best bet, for developing your shoulders.
use these excercises with some frequency i.e. madcows program or something similar.
 
Yeah man all I do for shoulders is push presses and cleans. I also do typical bench, dips, rows, but I use the PP's and cleansas exercises to target my shoulders. Going heavy, they blwo up my shoulders more then any dedicated shoulder routine/day.
