Shoulder width affected by AS?

We know that AS can stunt vertical growth in young people due to the excess estrogen closing the growth plates. BUt what happens to other bones(ie rib cage, etc..) the ones that influence upper body structure(shoulder width all that stuff) Does the AS stimulate those bones to grow? B/c it seems that a lot of AS users have greater shoulder width than natural BB'ers of the same age. Im not talking muscle mass either- but their frame. Anyone know at what age your shoulders stop widening? I see 25 year old guys and their dads..and their dads still have broader shoulders sometimes.. Does this continue into 30s' etc..? Basically i am asking if AS can promote broader shoulder structure. THanks
 
No AS will not cause bone growth. HGH when abused will. testosterone is the main culprit in closing the bone plates. And that pertains to all bones. So as far as the shoulder width, this is mainly do to the extra ammounts of musle/tendon/ligament mass carried on the frame.
 
If you are young.....I mean under 20 & your cartilage is still soft....you can widen that ribcage quite a bit. When doing high rep squats and you feel that heat in your lungs and breathing hard....or after each wind sprint.......find a pole......grip your hands on it......standing at arms length away from it.....take a deep breath......I mean deep.........then while griping hard....bend down stretching your ribcage as you exhale until all the air is gone & hold it for a sec.....do it 3 times after each set of squats or sprints. The guys with the biggest ribcages I've met do this.
Just make it a habit to do this. Me.......I didn't find out about this until I was 27........too late......cartilage is hardened now.

Storm Shadow so after a short all out sprint i grab a pole with both hands, stand arms length away, take a really deep breath and then kneel down or what? -- What is the stretching position? Could you explain it to me a little more- appreciate your help. How long must you do this for to get results on average?? how often..etc.. Thanks
 
My growth plates prematurely closed when I was 15 (this was because of heavy accutaine use), and I even got this verified by X-ray. Since then I have gotten alot wider though. I don't know how much of that is actual increase in bone structure or just muscle mass. A small waist and wide back probably have more impact on the appearance of broad shoulders than actual bi-acromial width.
