Ok guys I have been posting threads on my shoulder for4 weeks now. Lets just say I hurt it bench pressing. Anyways i finally got my doc to referr me to have an MRI. So I get there and they ask if I ever had any metal in my upper body. I say "yeah I got shot in the eye with a BB gun 12 yrs ago". I preceer to tell her that it's still in there too. So they take a quick catscan and see it's too close to my eyeball for an MRI(magnets and all).Now I gotta go have some other procedure done where they stick some big ass needle into my joint and inject iodine as dye. Then they do a catscan and look for damage.
My question is, has anyone ever had this procedure done before? How fuckin long and thick is that needle? Does it hurt? Any chance of complications? How sucessfull were they at diagnosing your problem? Obviously I will ask the doc this on monday, when I have the procedure, But I need some info now.
