shoulder pain

i notice when i do incline dumbell and shoulder press with dumbells, my shoulder starts to hurt when i go all the way down and almost touch my shoulder with the dumbell. can i still have an effective workout/build muscle if i dont go all the way down in these exercises? (it doest really hurt when i stop an inch above my chest)
 
perhaps you should have someone look at your form, or have it looked at by physician to make sure you do not have a shoulder impingment or other shoulder issue that could get worse with certain heavy movements

Doing dumbell press for shoulders I don't go much below 90 degrees.
I don't think there is any need to go any lower.
 
I had a major shoulder problems. At first i went to an ART certified guy and it made a huge difference. Now I never go below my ears on dumbedll presses and my shoulders are growing just fine.
 
Is there any shoulder pain on the flat bench?

About 70% of guys in the gym have incorrect form on the flat bench and eventually injure their shoulder.
