Not likely to kill you, but it is best to do it every time. You just have to pull back a little, if you are in a vein you will pull blood very easily.

aspirating is part of the procedure - like swabbing with alcohol. Sure you can skip it...but why the fuck would you? It takes less than a second and when you have done it you have peace of mind that you have injected yourself as cleanly and as safely as possible

Yes, please aspirate every time. All you need to do is a light flick back on the plunger.

I usually get no blood from glutes but one time I drew blood, pulled out, restuck and drew blood a second time. Went for a third time and got bubbles so injected. When I pulled the needle out I got a huge gobbet of blood come too. I'm guessing I went straight through a vein on the third try.
