Should I use MS Frontpage to design me a webpage?

You can make a nice looking functional webpage with frontpage so if you want to get a page up pretty quickly using something like frontpage would be good because you will be banging your head against a wall if you don't know HTML and try to write the code yourself if you're in some kind of rush to get the page up. But it's great to the learn how to do HTML so you do have to worry about the crap this program but in your HTML code.

I still think netscape won't pick up MIDI sound created in frontpage but it think that's about the extent of the problems there. I could be wrong.

You are a brave man! How long does it take to develop a site that way?

it is part of the way I make a living - it takes me far less time to do it that way than anyone using one fo the editors that do it for you.

you are far better off knowing what the fuck you are doing rather than "this pretty button here, if I click on it, makes this pretty thing show up... but damn, I don't know why it isn't blue..."

Knowing HTML I feel is a given to make great pages. Each program has little "quarks" and you will be able to fix the code yourself if you know HTML.

My ex only used HTML, because he hated wysiwyg programs. But he was limited to what he could do, and how fast he could do it.

Same goes for anyone that dosn't learn HTML.

You should learn both, then deside for yourself.

BUT HTML is totally free (duh) so you could just get a book and start making pages today, without paying for a program (not that I did---gotta love sharing software)

If you are a very detail oriented person, you could do very well with only HTML----but for me, I would forget to close tags, and all that shit
