Well, should I shave my head?

I'm a caucasian guy, decent build, and tall. I'm not going to grow a goatee though, which tends to make a bald guy look better.

I'm so jealous of the blacks guys. They always look good with a shaved head.
 
Actually you shouldnt do anything that you are unsure about, so the answer is NO simply because if you were sure about shaving your dome piece you wouldnt of asked what Elite thinks. peace

i went "topless" several years ago, NEVER going back. so cool, so clean, so easy to maintain!

girls love the look, guys are envious.

don't worry about being clean shaven. the lead singer of the smashing pumkins is clean shaven, looks fine on him.
 
That's a fair enough point. However, I counter with:

I've been wanting to do it for a long time.

I'm bored again today and I figured this subject would be totally inane enough to keep me entertained.

I guess a better question might be, do white guys with shaved heads look good or do they look like neo-Nazis?
 
Clippers? Or clippers then razor? I can't image having to shave my head with a razor every damn day. That would suck.
 
Worst that can happen is you shave it, don't like it, and grow it back in full by sometime in November.

I have heard guys say they never realized how warm hair kept their heads until they shaved 'em - which is probably why so many Canadian guys have both goatees AND hair. :D

i am thinking of putting some blond in my hair. what do you think about that?
 
I don't know if it's smart to shave it so close to winter. You'll be cold, plus you'll have a nice WHITE head..LOL. If you do shave it, make sure you tan that bad boy, and buy a beanie, you'll need it!!! I shave mine bald w/ a razor off and on throughout the hair.

As for putting blond in your hair..... Honey I say do it. You'll just look so FAN-TABULOUS at the pep rally! I'm sure all the cheerleaders will be asking about your beauty secrets. I say, You Go Girl!

I will have to wear a hat a lot more to keep warm in this cold ass weather. Maybe I can go to a tanning salon and just stick my head in one of the beds.
 
i like to lighten my hair with sun-in during the summer but i cant do that now cause i dont sit out in the sun now. i think some blond may look good.

I do the same shit!!! Maybe try highlighting it....I also know that you can use sun-in and use a hairdryer to dry it and bring the color out...not the same as the sun, but oh well.

Sure, why not? Do it. Someone once pointed out to me that shaved heads really do look phallic... :p

And you're a stunning piece of man I must say! You could pull off any look. I might stay away from the aforementioned beanie propeller, but that's just me.

You could do anything with that body and smile and those eyes....

Your head will be really sensitive at first. Especially to cold.

Well, the girlfriend seems less than enthused about it. Fine, things really aren't taking off with her anyway. I'll see how that goes though. This weekend should be fun though. Gonna go out with the boys.
 
When I met my gal I was bald. So she's gotten used to it over the 2 years+ we've been together. She asked me to grow it out once... and I started to... and then about 3 weeks in she told me to shave it again.

She says "You're just to cool looking to have hair."

Made me feel pretty good.

use some skin bronzer until the tan lines even out.
 
well, after reading all these positive comments i decided to shave my head too

i really like it, although most of my family members don't,
i bought a mach3 + gel, buzzed my head first and then shaved it
(man, you gotta be carefull with these electric machines, i didn't watch for just one second and cut off half of my right eyebrow; my shaved head looks pretty good, but with one and a half eyebrows i look very gay; i've never been good with practical things,.....)

some questions:
1) how often am i supposed to shave my head? every day?

2)when i touch my head i have the feeling that there are tiny bits of hair back in there because it doesn't feel completely smooth, altough i've shaved against the grade, with the grade,......

3)how are you supposed to shave the back of your head if you can't see it?

can you experienced shavers please give me some infos :)
(i'm a complete newbie, this was the first time i used a razor anywhere on my body, and malheureusement i've no dad who could explain it to me :( )
