Should I CUT or BULK...can you guys help me out please!!!

Ok, here's my situation:
I went from Jan. 15 to April 16 on a cutting diet. I did cardio almost everyday and trained 4 days a week. I lost around 45 pounds and went from 30 to 13%bf. I was really fat before I started and I don't know if I would call myself fat now, but I am carrying more bodyfat than I would like. I am currently 6'2, 195lbs. @ 14%bf. I want to try and lose a little more bodyfat mainly because I will be going on my senior trip in 5 weeks and I would like to be looking good.
Here's my question. With a cutting diet, regular cardio and weight training and the aid of a thermogenic, is 5 weeks enough time to loose a decent amount of bf and my love handles? If it is, I will continue on with my cutting diet and everything else. But if 5 weeks isn't enough, I will change my diet to a bulking diet and change my training routine. I am not experienced enough to know whether 5 weeks is enough time to make a reasonable difference. Thanks for the help guys. BTW, I am 18 years old.
 
I think if you did enough cardio and ate right you could drop a few pounds during 5 weeks. Hit the cardio often and early in the day
 
5 weeks is tons of time to drop a few more pounds.

Just take your thermos, do cardio almost everyday and eat clean, cut the carbs if you can, up the water and look sweet on your trip.

DON'T EAT ANY CARBS, LESS THAN 20 GRAM/DAY

DRINK A SHIT LOAD OF WATER (AT LEAST HALF YOUR BODY WEIGHT IN OUNCES, 200LBS = 100 OUNCES)

DO AT LEAST A HALF-HOUR OF CARDIO ON AN EMPTY STOMACH, PREFERABLY IN THE MORNING.

WATCH THE WEIGHT FLY OFF!

BTW, CONGRATS ON THE WEIGHT LOSS, BRO! UNBELIEVABLE ACCOMPLISHMENT! KEEP UP THE GOOD WORK!
 
DEFINATLEY enough time. I just came off a cutting cycle. Do cardio for 1/2 hour in the morning before eating and do 1/2 hour after a workout. on off days do one hour of cardio. leave one day where you dont do anything (lift or cardio). eat right and that will be enough time to see those abs. go for it.

Hey my philosophy is this..most people can gain weight faster than they lose (unless your one of the lucky fucks who has the astronomical metabolism) so cut down your body fat til your ripped then gain some muscle...you'll look better all round period.
 
I used to think you had to either bulk or cut and when you cut, you can't gain muscle. I was wrong.

I've been on a cutting diet for 6 weeks and a deca/winny cycle for 8 weeks and so far I've taken 2 inches off of my waist, put 1/2 inch on my arms and 1/4" on my quads. I'm down to 176 from 182, so it appears that I've gained muscle and lost fat during these 6 weeks. BTW, I don't normally gain very easily.

I think the key is to do a moderate amount of cardio and not restrict your calories so much that you feel tired (except maybe the 1st week) or lose weight too fast.
 
AJC, what do you consider a moderate amount of cardio? I only do 30 minutes, four times per week during my cutting cycles. Anymore than that, and I start to look like shit.

no reason to go <20g of carbs... I'm 10 weeks out from a competition (bodybuilding) and I'm eating about 100-200g of carbs (200g of training days, 100g on non-training days). no reason to go through the mental haze and muscular weakness associate with low carbs.

just use your head and continue to cut (IMO) I would get down to about 7-8% bf. If you were overweight 30% bf then you will much appreciate being able to see your abs before you bulk again, it will be very motivational.
 
Call me a rebel but I think cutting and bulking are pretty hard on the body. I'd recommend moderation and slowly add weight that is almost all muscle.

Bulking makes one look weird and your pants will be too tight. Fat cells last forever as well.
