short cycles

OK everyone is always talking about these short cycles (3 weeks on 4 weeks off). Everyone has a opinion on them, most seem to dislike the idea. My question is has anyone ever givin it a try for a few months? I have been considering trying it but I would like some feedback from those that have done it.
 
I think it would be a waste. You always will get the quick initial gains when you first start your cycle. I find though that for me, I get progressive, steady, and slow gains for weeks on end after that initial boost. If I were to have applied this 3-week principle when I cycled, I would have cheated myself out of much progress strength-wise in my opinion. Christ bro, for me 6 weeks is too short, unless you are speaking about Drol, Tren, or Halo. Winny too, but only because of the killer elbow pains I get. Otherwise, I'd run that shit for months on end as well.

Personally I'd go with 10-12 weeks (2.5-3months) and then equal time off.

Try some deca to ease your joint pains from the winny!
 
The whole purpose of a short cycle is so that your body will not shut down its own natural test functions and you make keepable progress over a short period of time. If you are going to try it, then stick with the 3 on 4 off. Don't go changing the "OFF" cycle as you will eventually cause you body to shut down or at least it will not produce what it should. I say try it if that is what you want. Just remember to use fast acting Chemicals and stick with your plan.
 
i am doing a 5 wk cycle at the moment- got till wednesday. it was originally planned as 4 wks but i extended it coz i had some extra sus which i threw in. the cycle is quite simply 50mg suspension ED, nandrolone phen prop 200mg/wk and sus was just 750mg/wk for the first 2 wks. i call it a quick blitz with essentially shorter esters or esterless preferably. i know sus makes it less than ideal. but big deal- gains are good-19 lbs till date, some good strength too. this is the first time i'm going less than 8wks. i am basically hoping that shutdown wont be severe and i can easily keep most of the gains. not quite sure when my next cycle will be though- i think blood work is v important to make the decision.
