correction, for a ketonic diet you need more FAT:

Grounded up chicken thy meat
plain turkey (not lean)
plain cheese
no cottage cheese
tuna +mayo
salmon
flaxseed is good
but NO yogurt
don't forget the ton of red meat...

Remember, the goal of the diet is NO carbs and high fats.

why not buy the usual lean choices and add enough flax every meal to make up the fat. Makes for a better lipid profile intake. Somehow i feel a bit healthier if i dont take in to much saturated fast, largely psychological off course. But doing cardio and eating a lot of saturated fats always makes me feel like an attack is imenent :D

Very true, the healthier part that is, but you are forgetting the part of the HIGH protein intake that will keep you out do Ketosis.

here is what i do:
eggs, bacon, ground beef, ground turkey, chiken,
cheese like swiss cheese with 0 carbs, and another types of cheese with high fat and moderate protein

i keep it simple and clean.

i avoid the saturated fats and try to get my fats from oils flaxseed and olive oil mostly

so you don't really have to eat all that saturated fat? you could use flaxseed oil and olive oil and lean meats?

This is a great post.... should e.v olive oil come into play at all or is flax enough?

Olive oil is NOT required, but I would add it due to it's nutritional content in regards to EFA's. Very good choice of oils, especially extra virgin.

Yes, you could. But, if your protein/fat ratios are too high on the protein side, you will the thrown out of Ketosis, and will be wasting your time doing CKD if not in Ketosis.

mr x can you please give us an example meals with good fats and protein? like you said try to keep protein lower than fats.
