anybody wear these??? any comments would be really helpful before I blow 170 bucks!! LOL.

Nope.

Most of us PL's wear chuck taylors or bare feet. When I BB'd for 8 years, people wore otomix or just plain tennis shoes. The only folks I see in a shoe like this are OLY Lifters...that's about it. If you are just looking for more support when squatting or deadlifting - buy a pair of chuck taylor's 1 size too small or you could look on the website Freddy.com and look up the Freddy Fight Boot. It's usually back ordered, but its a helluva shoe and gives some good support. They now call it the "Training Pro" Item FT75L Freddy.com It might have been ~ 70 bucks...save yourself 100, LOL (those $170 shoes look kinda dorky too.) Take care.

For deadlifting, you are gonna want as flat a shoe as possible. I wouldn't use oly shoes for deadlifting, probably just barefoot or chuck taylors. I just usually squat barefoot, but I'm gonna buy a pair of the chinese shoes soon. (I'm cheap)

also, are the Adidas good to deadlift in, or should they only be used to squatting?

gotcha. Ive been deadlifting in socks, but the wood platform at my gym can be little slippery & the mgt actually gave me a hard time about it-obvioulsy they dont deadlift! LOL.

I cant wear Chucks- my feet are very narrow & they have a wide toebox.

For deadlifting, you could pick up some adidas samba shoes. They are really flat and should give you some decent grip.

NO don't do deads in them, they will cause forward travel and create problems during your pull.

As said before unless you are going to focus on olympic lifting there is no need to buy this type of shoe.

If you can't wear chucks comfortably then try wrestling shoes, they have a flat sole with good traction and ankle support. When I pull heavy that's what I wear, they also work well for squatting. Make sure you get ones with solid soles and not split soles though.
