Shitty Situtation All Around - Need Advice

This really sucks and I dont know how to handle it at all. I dated a girl for about 8 months almost 3 years ago and we were totally in love. Shit went bad and we ended with a horriable break up. A year and a half ago, she gets pregnant and I promise not to call her until she has the baby so I wont stress her out. The father is a wortless piece of shit and abandons her 6 months pregnant and sees the baby twice since its born.

From January until the end of August I was that little girls Dad and I love her with all my heart. We started gettting serious and the chick flipped and went crazy. Now she is just like her Mom. The Dad came back for a court date, said he wanted to be a "dad" visited twice, gave them one check and left again.

Now when I call over there they tell me not to call and hang up. I fucking cant stand my ex-girl or her mom but I'll always love my little girl. And they wont even let me see her.

WTF should I do????

Its either go over there and demand to see her and get an explanation from her or never call again and never see my baby girl again. It it was just us I would never call, but I cant just sit here and watch the little girl grow up thinking she wasnt loved and that all men are shit because thats what her dad and grandfather both are.

Its not her fault her mom and grandmother are fucked in the head and accept men walking all over them and treating them like shit.

Let it be, sounds like she is a head case and if the kid isn't yours you don't have any rights. Cut your ties and cut your losses if what you are currently going through is what you have to look forward to.

legally i dont see what you can do if biologically she isnt yours. as much as you plead, a judge is nearly always gonna be more sympathetic to a women, if she;s her mother i dont see you have any chance

given she;s by your own admission a whacked out girl at best this could appen aain in the future, as well as a tempremental biological father being around.....and if you try and perservere with them, you could be wasting time you need to set up your own family.

it may be tough, but you might need to walk away....sooner rather than later when things could get more complicated. and just ask them maybe even by mil i you could justsee the kid as yo;ve grown fond of it. if they refuse, its their right, u just gotta move on

Fuck. Thanks for the replies, bros. This really sucks. To clear it up. The baby is NOT mine. But I've raised her for the past 9 months and feel like she is. I know I have no legal resposibility whatsoever, but that isnt the point. Even though I had no legal responsibility at all I wanted the obligation and responsibility. I chose to be her Dad and now her Mom is a headcase and it will probably fuck the little girl up bad.

But I guess you are right in saying that if this kind of life is all I have to look forward to then leave before it gets worse. I understand, but still cant abandon a little girl like that, no matter how bad its going to hurt me. It isnt her fault her mom is a headcase.

I guess life just sucks sometimes and there isnt anything you can do about it.
