I was reading some article over at gotfina.com and came across this statement.

"Doing a limited routing that has the trainee properly regulating the volume and frequency of their routine will still fail if the critical growth factor of intensity is ignored. Many people train with the intensity of an old lady knitting. This usually occurs because of either pure laziness, or the trainee is so accustomed to doing endless sets to ensure "complete development" that they only train half-heartedly out of pure survival instinct."

Shit, that hits the button on the nose for me. I remember, when I was tired, my brain would start saying things, like "Damn, you keep working like that, the next exercise is going to kill you" I remember when I first started lifting I gave in, and would try and pace myself so I could survive. Gosh what a mistake......I'm glad Ive learned now.

Sounds good to me, it not only takes alot of work and dicipline to train HARD, but you will be supprised just how high your own limits are. Like Doggcrap had said, even when you hit 8-12 reps, you can often find especially in leg movements that you have 8 more in you, wringing them out sucks ass but thats what it requires if you want to kick your bodies ass.
